Singapore’s economic miracle celebrated in a touring exhibition showcasing Brands that Matter
Swan & Maclaren is proud to be a part of the SG 50 celebrations as featured in the Singapore’s Economic Miracle Exhibition opened by Singapore’s Minister for Social & Family Development Mr Tan Chuan-Jin. The travelling exhibition was a showcase for Singapore’s heritage featuring 50 brands that made a difference, of which Swan & Maclaren continues to be an integral part.
The “Singapore’s Economic Miracle” exhibition takes the viewer through 50 events which shaped the economy, as well as 50 brands which made a difference, and the nation’s growth as evident by the works of entrepreneurs and people.
The exhibition opening was attended by the firms’ Group Director Lim Chai Boon who is seen here discussing the historic lineage of the firm with Minister Tan Chuan-Jin.
Swan & Maclaren was featured not only in its own right with a panel showcasing the image of the Victoria Memorial Hall of 1905, but also its work was showcased by the inclusion of Raffles Hotel as another Brand That Matters. Raffles Hotel was designed by the firm’s early founders in 1893.
The traveling exhibition opened at Vivo City Aug 11-19, with further showcasing at Changi Airport T3 Aug 21-30th and finally at Capital Plaza from Sept 4-13th. The exhibition is soon to be a feature publication.
