Creating atmosphere through light for a flagship dining destination

Imperial Treasure is one of Singapore's most recognised fine dining brands. When the group commissioned the illumination design for a new flagship outlet, the brief was clear: the lighting had to match the reputation — refined, confident, and precise.

Restaurant lighting walks a fine line. It must flatter guests, highlight food presentation, and support the interior design without becoming the focus. The challenge is creating atmosphere while remaining invisible.

The design used a layered approach. Ambient lighting set the overall mood, while accent lighting drew attention to key architectural features and table settings. Dimming profiles were programmed to shift subtly across service periods — brighter for lunch, warmer and softer for dinner.

Imperial Treasure's lighting now operates as part of the guest experience rather than apart from it. The illumination supports the meal without asking to be noticed — which is exactly what fine dining demands.
